Crispy gunk with Glow Worms What You’ll Need: Chocolate Pudding Milk One package of Oreos Gummy worms Do This: Begin by following the instructions on the back of the chocolate pudding box. Leave the pudding in the refrigerator while you make the “soil”. Hint: mix whipped cream into the chocolate pudding to make the soil a lighter color.   2. Swedish Pancakes for St. Patrick’s Day

    INGREDIENTS 3 eggs 1 cup flower 1 tbs white sugar 1 butter stick (softened) 1 1/2 cup milk (half/half, cashew milk and almond creamer works great as well! Just add the flour slow for perfect batter) 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (opt out of the vanilla if you have used a flavored milk)   DIRECTIONS 1.Melt half the butter stick in a pan and set aside in a bowl. 2.Crack the eggs in another bowl, add the milk and whisk until combined. (food processor or blender works as well!) 3.Add sugar, salt, vanilla and stir around. 4.Slowly add the flour while whisking and keep whisking until smooth.     These Swedish Chocolate Balls (or hearts!), also known as ‘Chokladbollar’ in Swedish, are a fav among our office and friends and are super easy to make! Have fun with the kids and make them into any shape for any occasion! Delish! Swedish Chocolate Hearts One stick unsalted butter (softened) 2 1/2 cups rolled oats 3/4 cups sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 tbsp vanilla sugar 1 1/2 tbsp espresso (cold) 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa Garnish: Coconut flakes or sprinkles Mix all the ingredients together with your hands or in food processor until well combined. Adjust consistency with coffee or oats (it should be a bit sticky but firm). Roll them in to 20 – 25 balls or cut them into heart shapes and garnish. …

    granolabitsWe are forever prepared with snacks when we head out for a trek, a bike ride, or other outdoor adventure. In order to be mother and kid approved our treats must not only be healthy but also super tasty and easily portable. Our usual is some version of gorp–nuts, dried fruits, a chocolate chip or two. We all love this, but it has gotten a bit boring. For some new inspiration I looked to a beloved vintage kids cookbook and revamped a recipe for “Granola RoundUps.”

    Whether you set up a pretty breakfast-in-bed tray or make place settings for the whole family at your kitchen table, Mom will be thrilled with the celebration that focuses on her. Let the kids prepare this brunch entree with another adult the night before. There is cheese to shred, bread to cube and lots of eggs to crack – perfect jobs for junior chefs. You also might want to prep some fruit and berries as a side to the egg dish.
