Reflectors are important. A motorist can detect a pedestrian three times as fast if the pedestrian is equipped with reflectors. Polarn O. Pyret has been making children’s clothing for 40 years. We’ve had time to learn what works and what doesn’t. Every detail on our garments – from t-shirts to outerwear – has been tried and tested. Every garment has been specifically designed with children in mind. We don’t compromise on quality, design or function. That’s what makes the difference. Polarn O. Pyret’s overalls, shell jackets and shell pants have reflectors with 360-degree visibility for children to appear as well as possible in the autumn and winter darkness. Even our wind fleece jackets, hats, and shell mittens have reflectors. All for the best visibility in …

Polarn O. Pyret marketing director, Petra, describes her family’s Christmas trip to Malaysian Borneo. She shares some tips and tricks on what to think about before, during and after a trip.   Our adventure is getting closer – we are going to go to Malaysian Borneo with all our family over Christmas and New Year. I now feel the children are old enough, 7 and 9, for such a long journey. We grown-ups are looking forward to lazy days on the beach and exciting excursions into the rain forest. And who is …

Not for girls. Not for boys. We make clothes for children. The bodies of boys and girls are very similar before they reach their teens. We work with clothes for children. So why would we make them different clothes? It may seem obvious, but our belief that both boys and girls need good fit and function makes us unique. We aim to make the world’s best shell jacket, knee sock, t-shirt and sun hat. Who wears what – and what colors – is up to you. But both boys and girls need good looking clothes that are strong and versatile. That’s what unisex means to us. Polarn O.Pyret – unisex since 1976.   “We wanted our children to grow up as people, not boys or …

Keep an eye out for the symbol that shows the way to an environmentally conscious choice – ECO! Polarn O. Pyret places high demands on all our products, but the environment is in particular focus for products with the ECO symbol – we reduce environmental impact by selecting materials consisting of organic cotton or recycled synthetic fibers. Organic cotton means that the fiber is cultivated without the use of chemicals such as synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. This is good for the environment and for the people working with the plants! Recycled synthetic fibers (polyester and polyamide) allow us to reduce usage of new fibers that derive from non-renewable sources (petroleum) and to save the energy required for extraction. Some of our ECO-labelled products are also …
