Swedish Chocolate Hearts
These Swedish Chocolate Balls (or hearts!), also known as ‘Chokladbollar’ in Swedish, are a fav among our office and friends and are super easy to make! Have fun with the kids and make them into any shape for any occasion! Delish!

Making Swedish Chocolate Hearts

Swedish Chocolate Hearts

  • One stick unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp espresso (cold)
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • Garnish: Coconut flakes or sprinkles

Mix all the ingredients together with your hands or in food processor until well combined.
Adjust consistency with coffee or oats (it should be a bit sticky but firm).
Roll them in to 20 – 25 balls or cut them into heart shapes and garnish.
Refrigerate for one hour or more before serving.
