  1. Did you know that 26% of PO.P’s total climate impact derives from the customer’s use of our products, including product care? A hefty 23% of this derives from people traveling to and from our stores* – so bicycling or walking the next time you go shopping would preserve the environment and provide health benefits.

  2. Did you know that an average item of clothing in Sweden has a lifetime of 2.2 years?
    By extending the lifetime of garments by 9 months, we can reduce the burden on the climate by a substantial 27% and reduce water consumption by 33%*.
    If you are tired of your old clothes even though they can still be used, it is much better to sell them or give them away so they can continue to be used. Doing so further extends the lifetime of the garments
  3. Did you know that Polarn O. Pyret cooperates with World Childhood Foundation, which works to ensure the right of all children to a childhood? Our collection coming soon online and in stores, Rainbow Stripes, symbolizes our long-term values in relation to the equal value of all children. All children are unique, and they are all equally different. For every item from the collection that is sold, $1 will go directly to World Childhood Foundation.

  4. Did you know that the Polarn O. Pyret brand has topped Blocket’s search function since the sales site began operating?

  5. Did you know that all of Polarn O. Pyret’s products are quality tested at laboratories, and that production is monitored to ensure that the garments are sustainable and do not bleed, shrink, burl, etc.?

  6. Did you know that our quality and chemical requirements are often higher than those employed in the industry in general as well as those imposed by legislation? For example, Polarn O. Pyret does not use any fluorocarbon-based water repellent treatment.

  7. Did you know that in 2016, European and Swedish legislation will go into effect that requires companies to report their sustainability work? Polarn O. Pyret has been doing this since 2007.   8. Did you know that 80% of PO.P’s range consists of cotton? Our goal is for 100% of our cotton range to consist of more sustainable cotton by 2020, e.g. organic, GOTS or Better Cotton. We had achieved 39% by autumn 2015.

  9. Did you know that the most sustainable garments are those already hanging in your wardrobe? By taking care of your clothing, following washing instructions and repairing damaged clothing, you can extend its lifetime. When it is time to buy new garments, invest in quality products that last a long time.

  10. Did you know that at Polarn O. Pyret you can buy repair patches and loose footstraps to extend the lifetime of your garments? Half of the price of the footstraps also goes to Childhood’s good causes. The stores offer a basic range of our most common zip pullers and buttons free of charge so you can make repairs.

  11. Did you know that when asked about what aspects are considered to be the most environmentally friendly, that Polarn O. Pyret’s customers rank good quality and timeless design at the top?

  12. Did you know that in the 2014/2015 financial year, Polarn O. Pyret manufactured over 1 million garments in organic cotton, which corresponds to 31% of all of the clothing we manufacture in cotton? The goal is for all of our cotton clothing to contain 100% sustainably produced cotton by 2020.
