OUR GARMENTS ARE COMPLETELY FREE OF PERFLUORINATED SUBSTANCES

All Polarn O. Pyret’s outerwear with water repellent abilities are completely free of sealers containing perfluorinated compounds, known as PFCs. The outer garments are treated with a PFC-free substance to maintain the same water repellent function. We have been using this material for our outerwear since 2015.

PFCs, or perfluorinated substances are commonly used in waterproofing that allows textile surfaces, dirt and water repellent. We have now decided to phase out these substances entirely when they have a negative impact on the environment and the working conditions. Today, we use a material not only meets our chemical requirements but also our quality and functional requirements. Polarn O. Pyret is constantly working to update its chemicals restrictions!
