Today we dyed Easter eggs using Glob’s Natural Easter Egg Coloring Kit. The kit comes with 3 colors (yellow, purple and blue), 3 compostable mixing cups and 3 small bamboo brushes. The dyes are made from herbs and plants, in this case, annatto, radish and cabbage.

30 Minutes A Day
0March 22, 2013 by PO.P Press
A friend once told me that the secret to happiness was to ensure that you spend at least 30 minutes standing on grass each day. Sounds simple doesn’t it?
Yet, when I sit down and think about it I realize how easy it is to go through days without spending any time outside.Category Outdoor Play | Tags: Waldorf

Ready for Camp
0March 21, 2013 by PO.P Press
The camp experience isn’t limited to overnight camps. Kids can begin experiencing camp life (hiking, creeking, camp songs, games) as early as age 3. Even for the preschoolers, camps can do something school cannot. It gives kids a much-less-structured place to learn and play. If your kids are in preschool and they get used to the routine of getting up and going off to school, no matter how many days a week, the summer break can be a battle after a few weeks of nothing.Category Camp, Outdoor Play | Tags: camp preschool, ready for camp

St. Patrick’s Party
0March 16, 2013 by PO.P Press
A couple of years ago, we had a play date on St. Patrick’s Day with my cousin and her children. They came bearing St. Patrick’s Day decor and Irish potato candy. The “potatoes” were delicious and were wrinkled and dimpled just like real potatoes! We had a little lunch, dessert, play time and craft time–all in all, a splendid little afternoon!
