  1. Little Braveheart Contest

    May 31, 2013 by PO.P Press

It’s Our 2nd Annual Little Braveheart Contest! Summer is the time for exciting new adventures. The smallest adventure could be the biggest thing in a young life. What is the bravest thing your child has done? Maybe it was pulling out a tooth, sleeping in a tent, holding a spider, tasting a sardine, jumping off a diving board or opening their eyes under water. Brave little things that made them proud, happy and bigger. Tell us about your child’s brave summer adventure and win.

  2. Opening Soon: Boston

IMG_20130527_150759The final preparations are being done in Boston for our fifth U.S. store opening at The Street in Chestnut Hill next to Lululemon and across from Shake Shack. Boston is a city with spirit, attitude and spunk, as well as one with a love of the outdoors. We think Boston families will adore our Swedish inspired design — from our stripes and our prints to our outerwear that will keep Boston kids happy, warm and dry all year round.

  3. Vacation Time: Packing Up for Kids

    May 28, 2013 by PO.P Press

Soltimmar_KoncWe often think that packing for our kids should be easy! The irony is we spend time researching and purchasing just the right items for us to wear on our summer vacation. However when it comes to the kids, we just open the dresser drawers at the last minute and dump it all in or toss in the latest load of clean, folded laundry. Packing for our kids should involve some planning.

As adults, we learn to make do if it’s unexpectedly chilly or rainy, but our kids sometimes are not as resourceful; a forgotten hoodie or fleece jacket on a cold Maine summer vacation or a shell jacket left at home for a rainy Seattle family reunion is not going to be fun for parents or kids.

Keep in mind that too much clothing can be the wrong approach if you’re traveling with lots of kids and sharing suitcases. While moving everything from dresser drawers into suitcases seems like a good idea—after all those clothes are small—it can prove disastrous on the other end of your trip when you can’t find anything.

  4. Camp Outerwear

    May 23, 2013 by PO.P Press

05_produkt_3_0032Weather can be unpredictable, even in the summertime. We believe there is no such thing as bad weather if you have the right clothing. If your child’s camp is long enough, rain will inevitably find him or her. Make sure they are prepared with a light-weight rain jacket, such as our new Light Shell Style Windbreaker. Combine with a hoodie, sweatshirt or a fleece and your child will be ready for anything.

We were delighted to host our second “Name the Prints” contest earlier this month where customers had the opportunity to choose product names for our Swedish spring patterns and prints. What we enjoyed most was reading all the creative names that both parents and children submitted. After looking through all the fantastic name choices, we chose our favorites for the four prints: A: Trunk Show; B: Cool Tones; C: Global Garden; D: The Good Life.

20120427__120505 erickson egg dishServe a tasty brunch surprise for Mom on Mother’s Day. It’s an easy overnight egg dish unlike anything you’ve probably ever tasted. Fresh apples and apple-chicken sausage are the ingredients that give it extra zip.

Whether you set up a pretty breakfast-in-bed tray or make place settings for the whole family at your kitchen table, Mom will be thrilled with the celebration that focuses on her. Let the kids prepare this brunch entree with another adult the night before. There is cheese to shred, bread to cube and lots of eggs to crack – perfect jobs for junior chefs. You also might want to prep some fruit and berries as a side to the egg dish.
