You can also influence how many times a garment can be inherited – washing it correctly means it will last longer. Come with us to learn how you can impact the lifetime of your garments while taking the environment into account. All of our items have labels with washing instructions. The washing instructions in combination with PO.P’s laundry school will give clothing the longest lifetime possible.   3. Swedish Day Care Philosophy

    It’s a crisp November morning in Sweden, the daily song and dance hour has almost come to an end at “Förskolan Solen” (Daycare Sun). 15 children and 3 teachers finish a nutritious fruit snack before heading outside to 20º F and a thin layer of white powdery snow on the ground. Children begin to pair into small groups, while teachers escort kids to their cubbies. Every child has their own little area with hooks, shelves and drawers where they keep all their clothing. Properly hung, folded and name-labeled. Learning to dress for weather is a very important lesson for the day. Even when it is cold outside, however, children actively playing outdoors, easily get sweaty. To prevent the child from getting cold, moisture must be be wicked away from the body.     Jeans made of durable cotton garments are in most families, perfect for slow, climbing and playing. But the clothes also contain chemicals that are far from child-friendly shows Testfakta, a Swedish garment testing company. Nine out of ten children jeans contain chemicals, shows the Testfakta test, but not Polarn O. Pyret jeans. In particular, the environment takes a beating when toxic substances flow into the wash water. In an analysis of ten pair of jeans for children from different European brands, it appears that three pairs containing the hazardous substance nonylphenol (NPE), which is very toxic to aquatic organisms, and has also been shown to disrupt the natural balance of hormones.     We think the bottom layer should be the most fun! Panties, pants, boxers, briefs, unders, bloomers, knickers or unmentionables. Whatever you want to call them, we have them and we promise they are the cutest in town. You will not find princesses, video game characters or superheroes on ours though. So if you need those, you’ll have to go elsewhere.
