Kids can develop independence and experience things that they may not be able to at home. We talked to our staff and reflected on our own camp experiences. 2) Martha Stewart is always full of great ideas and this one is no different. This DIY clutch is a great way to repurpose fabrics and prints that you love.

    3) The IKEA hacks do it again by jazzing up a Malm dresser with cut out clothing shapes. It looks adorable and can help your little ones put away and pick out their own clothes. Bonus for everyone!

    June 21, 2013 by PO.P Press

12SWEDEN-articleLargeTo experience a Swedish Midsummer festival is to take a step back into time. You might think the New York Times photos (above) are from some countryside event in a small town (and they are). However, they do truly capture typical Midsummer Festivals around Sweden.

Midsummer is celebrated on the Friday following the Summer Solstice–June 21. As luck would have it, this year it’s on the actual day itself.

If you’re in the NYC area, try to attend the Midsummer celebration in Battery Park.
